Getting dark so early does get to me.  But I’m ordering gifts for the holidays and actually have about half my shopping done. 

That tooth that my dentist said had to be pulled… it’s really beginning to bother me… a lot!

We had a late-lasting dinner party Saturday night, which is partly why I’m late writing this blog. 

We left for Maine 7:30 Wednesday morning. 

After a couple of quiet weeks, except for three interviews on various zoom type platforms, this weekend is suddenly far busier than we generally like. 

Woody and I both had our new boosters on Thursday and we both got quite sick. 

This was a quiet week.  I planted the fall crops I had started that survived the onslaught of cabbage caterpillars when they were on the front porch…

We were quite worried and stressed about Hurricane Lee and what it might do to us, our old house and our trees. 

I am very worried about Hurricane Lee, a category 5 that is menacing us in its projected path.

I went into Quest in Wellfleet on Wednesday and found out I was supposed to fast before my blood could be drawn for the cardiologist.  Nobody told me. So no bloodwork.

It has been far more pleasant to work outside this week.

I started the second wave of cucumbers last week.  I hope they survive.

We are going to have our huge sugar maple out front taken down.  I love that tree.

Woody discovered a large wasp’s nest in a rhododendron, discovered it the hard way. 

Yesterday was full out garden and processing work all day. 

Wednesday, I had pain around where my pacemaker is inserted, redness, a bit of swelling.  I was terrified.

I went though the 2nd third of my new book over the last few days, editing, proofing.
